What is on this template

  • Header: homeschool name, address and contact details.
  • Student details: name, date of birth, graduation date, and the parent who acts as administrator.
  • Four year blocks: course title, level (H, AP, DE), grade and credits, with credits earned and GPA for each year.

  • Credits by subject, the grading scale, a notes line, and a signature and date line.

How to use this template

  1. Click "Edit this in the builder". The sample loads into the free transcript builder in your browser.
  2. Replace the school and student details at the top with your own.
  3. Go through each year (9th to 12th) and change, add or remove courses. Pick a level, a grade and the credits for each one.
  4. Check the grading scale and the Honors, AP and dual enrollment bonuses, and edit them to match how you graded.
  5. Add a notes line if anything needs explaining, then click "Print / Save as PDF".

Your draft is saved in this browser as you go. Use "Export file" to keep a backup copy on your computer.

Why a builder beats a blank document

Word and spreadsheet templates leave the math to you: one changed grade means recalculating every total by hand. In the builder, credits and GPA update the moment you change a grade, and the layout stays tidy however many courses you add. It is free, needs no account, and your draft stays in your browser.

Tips for a clean transcript

  • Use conventional course titles ("Algebra 2", not "Math Adventures 11").
  • Keep it to one page if you can. A typical four-year load of 24 to 28 courses fits.
  • Mark senior-year courses as IP (in progress) when applying in the fall.
  • Print the grading scale and explain anything unusual in the notes line.
  • Sign and date the printed copy as the parent or administrator.

Before you send it

Many colleges accept parent-issued transcripts; requirements vary, so check with each school and your state’s homeschool laws.
